Five lines make up your landed cost. Most quotations only show you one of them.
Why we do not publish a price list
Reinforcement steel is repriced daily against billet and scrap. Anyone publishing a fixed per-kilo figure on a website is either quoting a stale number or quoting a number they will not honour once you call. Neither helps you.
What we can do is be completely transparent about the structure of the price, so you can compare quotes properly.
The five lines in a TMT quotation
- Basic rate per metric tonne — the mill or trader rate on the day. This is the number everyone compares, and it is the only one most suppliers show you.
- Rolling margin — how much actual steel you get per tonne invoiced. A 5% difference here swamps a Rs. 500 difference in basic rate.
- Freight — depends on distance, load size and whether a trailer can reach your gate. Quoted separately by us, always.
- GST — 18% on TMT bars, with input credit available if you are registered.
- Payment terms — advance, against delivery, or 30 to 60 day credit. Each carries a different rate, and the gap is usually larger than people expect.
Getting the best bulk price
- Order in full trailer loads. A 25 MT load lands cheaper per tonne than five 5 MT loads, every time.
- Give us the whole schedule, not one pour. Monthly tonnage commitments let us block mill allocation and hold rate.
- Be flexible on brand. Where the specification allows secondary material from an audited mill, the gap can be meaningful. Where it does not, we will say so.
- Take mixed diameters. Loading 8 mm alongside 25 mm balances the freight cost across the load.
- Pay on time. The single cheapest way to get a better rate on the next order.
